You will have the opportunity to form firm friendships reveling in local Kadavu village hospitality and lots of genuine Fiji culture. In the evenings sit around a beach bonfire telling stories or just listening stories. Watch the full moon rise beyond the silver line of reef breakers. Location
We are located on the island of Kadavu in the Southern Island group of Fiji. Access is via light aircraft from Nadi or Suva.
Diving
The Great Astrolabe Reef is home to a myriad marine life unequalled in Fiji. The avid diver and keen snorkeler will be treated to a diversity of fish species and corals in very healthy abundance. Three generations on the O’Connor family have been diving here all their lives and they will ensure you see the very best of one of the largest living barrier reefs in the world. The famous Naigoro Passage is only minutes away by boat for snorkeling & scuba diving. Naigoro Divers dive shop has snorkel & scuba equipment for hire. Full scuba gear hire is $ daily per person. Mostly, diving is a casual event with the boat departing for the Reef after a leisurely breakfast for the first dive of the day.
Surfing
Warning; the waves at either Naigoro or Vesi Passage is may I suggest only for the brave hearted and experienced surfer.
VESI PASSAGE (15 minutes away from Alberts by boat); Both left and right hand waves peel over the Vesi Passage entrance. The more consistent surf break being left, holds a great powerful smooth wave. Surfing this top to bottom on an incoming tide is the go on a northerly wind in a south-east swell.
NAIGORO PASSAGE (5 minutes away by boat): This is a solid, steep right-hander barrel and depends on how heavy the swell is to determine the power and speed. Working best on a south-westerly swell these waves are best on an incoming tide.
Bruce the one who has been surfing all his life on Naigoro & Vesi Passages has 3 surfboards for the avid surfer to choose from to hire. Should you prefer to bring your own boards make sure to let us know when confirming your stay with us.
Activities
Activities include waterfalls, kayaking, hiking,birdwatching and village trip can also be organise or simply swinging in a hammock with a good book.
Accommodation
Traditional thatched bures strung along the beach under the coconuts palms offer international guests comfort and relaxation.
Dining & Entertainment
From the main house kitchen meals served are of excellent Fijian fare with lots of fresh fish, vegetables, & fruits. Home baking in the mornings at breakfast time and light lunches are prepared by the girl’s everyday. Full meal package cost is $ per person. Self-Catering option available ($5 daily to use kitchen charge). We have a small supply shop on site. You may purchase veges and fruits with the local villagers.

There are no banks on Kadavu Island. To pay Visa card and credit card is accepted, but the cash is always recommended since there is no BANK on the island

A non refundable deposit of 25 % of accom/ meal pack is required to secure your reservation. Email for details please.
